Meeting this weekend? Invite us along. We will come to your stokvel, show every member how the app works on their own phone, answer whatever you want to ask, and bring something for the group. It costs nothing, and you are under no obligation to sign up.
How a visit works
No sales pitch, no pressure, no long presentation. We come to your meeting, we show you the app, and we answer questions until there are none left.
1 · You invite us
Email, WhatsApp or call. Tell us your group's name, roughly how many members you are, where you meet and on which day. That is all we need to start.
2 · We assign you an agent
One person from our side becomes your group's contact — the same face who comes out to you, and the same person you can phone afterwards with a question.
3 · We come to your meeting
Weekends included — we know most stokvels meet on a Saturday or Sunday. We fit into your meeting; we do not ask you to move it for us.
4 · We bring something for the members
Nobody sits through a talk for nothing. We come with a little something from the Stok-Vel app for the group, and we show every member — not just the committee — how it works on their own phone.
What we bring with us

- Straight answers about how your money is kept (spoiler: it never leaves your own bank account)
- Help setting your group up on the spot, if you decide you want it
- Something from the Stok-Vel app for the members who came out
And if your group decides the app is not for you, that is a fine answer. We would still rather have met you.
About photos
We love sharing the groups we visit on our Facebook page — real stokvels, doing the real thing. But your meeting is your meeting. We ask your group’s permission before we take a single photo, we only post what you are happy for us to post, and if you would rather we took none at all, the visit goes ahead exactly the same. Just tell us on the day.

Questions about a visit
Can Stok-Vel come to our stokvel meeting?
Yes — that is exactly what we would like you to invite us for. Email info@stok-vel.co.za, WhatsApp or call 079 271 7820, and we will arrange to come out to your group's meeting anywhere in South Africa.
Do you visit on weekends?
Yes. Most stokvels meet on a Saturday or Sunday, so that is when we do most of our visits. Tell us the day and time your group already meets and we will work around it — you should never have to move your meeting for us.
What does a visit cost?
Nothing. The visit is free and there is no obligation to sign up afterwards. If your group decides Stok-Vel is not for you, that is a completely fine outcome and we will not hound you about it.
Do we have to be using the app already?
No. Most of the groups we visit are still on the paper book and simply want to see what the app does before deciding anything. Come as you are — we will explain it plainly, in whatever language works for your group.
Will you take photos at our meeting?
Only if your group says yes. We like to share pictures of the stokvels we visit on our Facebook page, but we ask permission first, on the day, and we only post what your group is happy for us to post. If you would rather we took no photos at all, just say so — the visit goes ahead exactly the same.
